The (Updated) Classics

Leather jacket: H&M Icons Collection (old), T-shirt: Target, Lace pencil skirt: Thrifted, Heels: Zara (old but fab pair here), Accessories: Karen Walker sunglasses, Mansur Gavriel tote

I came across this thrifted skirt recently and I almost passed on it since I figured I wouldn't be able to wear it for a while (plus, who knows how it would look on my "regular" body). But, I decided to try it on anyway (part of my "never say never" mantra I've mentioned here and here) and lo and behold, it actually...worked!

Typically, I'm not into the look of a shorter lining under a skirt but, I was fairly fond of this one. The lace pattern intrigued me and I don't own many white pieces either. With such an unconventional skirt, I've kept most of my look pretty clean. The result? Updated classics.

  18. nancy,
This is so stunning on you! You do not even look pregnant in most of the pictures. Love the black and white, and the lace skirt in particular ! I too, don't often like half linings be the lining covers what it should and will be cooler for you this summer!

  22. This is such a good look! Thrifting is the best- it allows you to try so many different looks without investing a lot of money into it. That's how I discovered midi skirts and now they're a staple in my wardrobe. And those shoes! I love the lace-up look that's all over this season. Just such a great look all together!
