"Nothing New"

Jacket: Ross (℅), T-shirt: Lucky, Tank: H&M, Pants: Target, Neon sneakers: Keds, Accessories: Aldo's sunglasses, Forever 21 necklace, 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target bag

I hope you aren't bored of me. I've got nothing new. While I haven't quite hit nesting mode (though I feel like I'm close) I am not doing anything exciting either. It's ironic actually. One of my closest friends shared with me some exciting work news that requires her to travel abroad for the next three months. When she asked me how I was doing, I simply said, "nothing new or as exciting as that." She immediately squealed, "Of course you are! You're having a baby!"

Oh yea...

I'm not pretending to be aloof to the fact that I'm quite literally with child but, since I'm still going about my days, doing what I need and want to do, and life doesn't feel crazy different. My brain realizes the reality but my daily activities haven't faced that truth yet.

Don't get me wrong. This journey is wonderful. The ups and downs have been new and unique to me. Different but inspiring all the same. I worry and worry sometimes but, none of that will change the future or change the truth.

So yes, "nothing" is new with my mindset in the present but, my future? Oh, that is definitely going to be new and even exciting.

  1. I can relate to that! Just take it easy and take care of yourself and enjoy the "nothing is new" stage right now. Love the bomber jacket!

  6. Lol, I imagine I would be the same way! I would probably just skate along until suddenly there was a baby in my hands! It's great that you aren't getting stressed out though. I know with my friends that was the most important thing (not to get stressed) when they were pregnant. And of course you look so stylish too!

Hearing your thoughts on this pregnancy have been enlightening and give me perspective on what it would be like.
Also, your maternity style is so amazing. LOVE the floral jacket with the stripe print. Plus, bright shoes is always a plus :)

LOVE to see the bump getting bigger, and I know the day to day routine changes are small one, but you are so right: BIG changes on the way!
