Wednesday Whim - Mellow Monochrome in New York

When it comes to living in the city, one has to accept also living in small spaces. Designing for small spaces can often times be more challenging than bigger spaces. You have to consider the size and the functionality of the furniture you put in without sacrificing aesthetics and square footage.

Being a city gal like myself, I'm always looking for design inspiration. That's why I'm so attracted to this New York rental apartment designed by The New Design Project. The space is modern yet cozy and functional, which is a definite feat to pull off. The monochrome color palette and blend of refurbished, new and custom-made pieces create a cohesive living space with plenty of personality.

  1. Wow, I've got some serious apartment envy right now- this place is gorgeous. I wish I could hire someone to do up my place like this. Even though I've been living in my apartment for nearly 2 years, it remains largely undecorated!

Great inspiration and unique ideas for making a small urban habitat feel large and welcoming! Love all of the finishing touches and the eclectic style! I just renovated my city apartment, and am almost done ... so this was great timing.
