Insta-Holiday

all photos from my Instagram

Oh, the life of Instagram. #sorryimnotsorry that I still love this social media tool (twice on this blog...1 and 2). It gets me through my breaks during work, when I'm feeling bored as I'm watching TV (who doesn't do that?) and when I feel like being inspired. It connects me to my favorite bloggers and brands, gives me insight in the "day of the life of" and makes me feel creative. When I take photos, I see my composition as "does this fit in the square?" (Thanks, upgraded iPhone for giving me a square option when I take photos now.) Yes, Instagram has become a special part of my life.

Please share your feed too!

Our first Friendsgiving at our friend's house. There was too much food/drink and lots of laughs and memories.

Our Christmas tree this year! I feel so grateful we have one that fits in our small abode and we have added to our ornament collection.

Dined with friends at The Cavalier. The bartender we had was off the charts (good!). The Dutch, Dutch Scotch egg was insane.

Dessert bar, anyone? This entire buffet featured a trifle, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, flourless chocolate cake and satsumas for good measure.

I nearly forgot about my Jason Wu x Neiman Marcus x Target ornaments from last year. I bought them on major sale and waited a year to use them. They're so pretty in person!

My weekends have been busy since the holidays started but I always make time for my coffee fix and occasional macaroon indulgence.

One of my most favorite things from this year?  Seeing Batkid in SF.

Burgers + fries = fabulous. Even if I had it over Thanksgiving break after eating tons of food and desserts.

The City lights look so dreamy. The City lights during the holidays = more fabulous.

From this Sunday .. .The Book of Mormon. I had no expectations (though I heard it was great from people who did see the musical). I didn't look up the story line beforehand. I totally enjoyed it!

  6. Hi Nancy! Thanks so much for coming by my blog and for your kind comment!

love the gorgeous holiday details you have going on here, especially that first gold combo! dying!! I love those earrings with your Batman tee! I was home in the Bay Area over Thanksgiving and tried to win the lotto to see BoM twice (my sister lives in SF and had me walking all over town!) unfortunately we didn't win, but I'm hoping to try again when I'm home for Christmas! I'm seriously jealous that you got to go!

  8. I almost forgot about my Jason Wu x Neiman Marcus x Target too! I just put them up over the weekend on our Christmas tree. Actually one of them slipped out of my hand and landed and broke one of my other glass ornaments (Jason Wu ornament was okay though! whew!). But they are heavy duty for sure!! I had to put two hooks on each of them... to hold up. haha..

  12. I love Instagram too - I think it's a never ending affair. I'm much more of a picture person (although twitter is great too), and highly enjoy (some may say too much) sifting through other people's pictures AND of course, creating my out "art". bahaha.

I love that you had a "Friendsgiving" - amazing.

  14. I think IG is my favorite form of social media. It just gives a more dimensional perspective of the person that you follow. I also follow fitness / recipe sites to help get ideas for food.
