Who knew a floor can be so cool when Dutch artist, Suzan Drummen, gets involved? She uses crystals, chromed metal, precious stones, mirrors and glass to create dazzling patterns on floors that results in brilliant kaleidoscope effects. What is more amazing is how organized and seemingly simple the installation is from afar but how intricate and complex it is up close. All the pieces of the designs are "loosely placed" on the floor so one can imagine how much patience and concentration installing these pieces require. As she states on her website, her work comes from "the fascination for watching...while playing with space, illusion and optical effects...(examining) what the eye cannot contain (as well as) the limits of beauty and charm."
