Wednesday Whim - Colored Lines

all images via Design Boom via rubinetto

The unexpected transformation of this cement truck to a colorful piece of art is not something I thought I would gravitate to but I can't look away. This was created by Rubinetto (Rome, Italy 2011) in collaboration with le grand jeu, Fandango TV and Ragu communication. The lines are all hand sprayed (with spray paint). The concept seems simple but keeping the lines and colors straight must have required a lot of patience and concentration. It's a fascinating concept transforming something so industrial and urban into something so pretty and artistic.

What do you think about it?

  5. That's a cool idea! I mean, there's so much simple and boring grey things in the world, so we all need more colours. Colours are fun and make people feel better :)
