Dress: Thrifted, Shoes: Nanette Lepore, Accessories: F21 hat, vintage necklace, Belargo bracelet, Jimmy Choo for H&M bracelet, Michael Kors watch
This was the first long weekend that actually felt...long. It was gloriously relaxing and uneventful. The hubs and I stayed in pretty much for all of it and unplugged from the chaos of life and technology that often times consume us both (with the exception of his school work). I think every once in a while, we need to step away in order to recoup our energies and get real rest. The older we get, the more we forget what it means to literally do nothing. We are often with our phones, our laptops or taking care of some chore so we don't get a break. We spend a lot of time thinking of what we have not yet done and not enough time looking at how much has been done.
To echo my Utopian mood, I wore this romantic looking dress. It's part vintage, part romance and entirely dreamy. I love the nude color and the bead detailing that runs across the front and back. If I could imagine a look that mirrored my thoughts, this is it.
OK, enough pontification for the first day back to work. How was your long weekend?
That beading is exquisite, just love it! Looks like you did have a great, relaxing, peaceful weekend...at least based on this outfit :) Wish mine had been the same!

That dress is perfection! I love the soft colors and the beading is gorgeous. I'm glad you had a relaxing weekend. I am now going on day 3 without my phone (because I left it at home) and it's kind of making me crazy, but also kind of a relief. LOL. <3
