Dress: Ruehl, Cardigan: F21, Shoes: DV by Dolce Vita, Accessories: Tiffany eyeglasses, J.Crew bracelet, Frank Gehry for Fossil watch, n0ir ring (similar), Anthropologie ring, Baggu bag, H&M flower pin
Lately, I've been in the mood for looks that are easy, casual but still fun. I'm channeling another "school day" memory with this outfit (like yesterday's ode to my library days). The dainty floral print on the dress reminds me of the floral prints my mom used to make me wear as a child. She always liked to dress me up in specific outfits. She always had a knack for that sort of thing. To make this look less girly, I opted for the navy cardigan and neutral colored brogues. I've also been in love with my Baggu bag since it's so handy to tote my stuff around in. The pop of cobolt blue definitely jazzed up the overall look, too.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I've got a lot of errands to finish with the hubs. We're re-decorating our office/entertainment space and we're on a tight timeline! It's not a big space at all but it appears that no matter what size space you have, re-decorating will always take up more of your time than you think. The internet just makes it look so easy! What are your plans?
I really like your Oxford-style shoes. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm playing in a beach volleyball tournament tomorrow which should be fun!
Good luck with your errand and home decor!

ReplyDeleteLove your shoes! Apartment/room decorating always takes me forever. It's like every piece comes from a different place so you're constantly running around.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you with the color red. I love it, but don't own anything red. Bizarre. Happy weekend lady, hope you get to all your errands :)
I love this dress paired with those shoes. The combination of the girly floral and the menswear inspired shoes is perfect!

I like how you made the floral print dress look a bit more grown up. I sometimes find that floral print can make one look very juvenile. Love that you added the flower pin on your cardi too! You look great Nancy :D
ReplyDeletelove the pop of yellow from the flower and the electric blue from the purse! hope you had a great weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteBoth outfits are amazing and cute! The top in the first one is my fave!
