Coveted Classic

images via Style Republic Magazine via Chanel

You may have seen the link for this passed around online, but I couldn't resist posting this for you. For many of us fashionistas and bag collectors, owning a Chanel bag is one of those items that is on the "must own" list. The Classic Flap Bag is one of the most recognized handbags (even for non-style enthusiasts) and it has become associated with everything that is luxurious, fashionable and classic. But, have you ever wondered how it is made? Thanks to Style Republic Magazine, you can see it done step-by-step.

Seeing the bag deconstructed is so inspiring. There's so much attention to detail and time involved that makes the process seem intriguing. What do you think? Does seeing a bag made make you covet it more or just feel like "is that it?" For more on the story, check out the link!

Here's to dreaming over the weekend...have a great one!

  14. I would love to be able to own a Chanel of my own one day. I think it's become such an iconic symbol of status - I don't think there's a single woman who doesn't know of the Chanel flap bag. It's amazing how much detail they put into making the bags too. Thanks for sharing the link!

  15. Im really glad to have stumbled on this post of yours hun because I think bloggers dont concern themselves as much as they should with how pieces (clothes, bags, accesories) are constructed. It really does take alot of designing and toiling and THEN carefull construction to make a piece as wonderful as this.... anyway end/rant. Hope you're having a fab start to your new week ^_^

  17. wow. these are fabulous photos. For some odd reason, I always thought these were handmade. Why, I don't know. Probably because of the price tag attached to it? :)
