Today marks the DVF for Gap Kids release and by the looks of it, there will be boldly dressed kids (and petite adults) walking about soon enough. I adore designer collaborations with affordable chain stores because it allows people like me (the "average Joe") to have access to designer goodies. Everyone has his/her own opinion on this off course. There are people who face the frenzy to buy up all the goods and then sell them on eBay. But others are more genuine in the process and buy the items to wear in the future (as it is meant to be). I'm part of the latter group and only wish I could do it more often!
The dress I'm wearing in this mixed ensemble came from the Rodarte for Target collaboration. To be honest, it has hung in my closet for ages but I just haven't made a point to wear it until recently. I've been going through my closet to figure out what to donate and what to sell to Crossroads and I still have not been able to give this number up. And after pulling it into my rotation, I still don't think I will be able to give it up. I just adore the feminine details of the dress - from the tulle, the lace and the bows on the shoulders (unfortunately covered up in these photos).
How do you feel about these designer collaborations?
