Walking On Sunshine

There's nothing like sunshine and the color pink that makes a gal smile more. That's actually a bit ironic for me since my favorite color is actually purple and I used to dislike the color pink (shocker!). The real reason for my dislike though wasn't because of the color itself but because I was a sort-of tom-boy type of kid and I associated pink with all things that weren't tom-boy related (i.e. being "girly"). Silly, eh?

Here I am now - several years older and wiser (Hah! At least I think I am...).  I'm now the proud owner of several pink items, which includes this lovely skirt. I'm still in love with this bargain H&M find (I've worn it here and here). For $13, I have gotten my wear from it. It's just a simple pleated skirt, but that's exactly why I think it's special. I have dressed it up and down and until the threads and fabric completely fall apart, it'll still make me smile.
