Let It Rain

Shirt: Ruehl, Button-up, Vest: Old Navy, Skirt: H&M (similar style here), Boots: Hunter, Accessories: J.Crew necklaces and bracelet, F21 rings, vintage stacked rings, vintage bracelet, Michael Kors watch, Tiffany eyeglasses, Shanghai Tang umbrella

The rain finally hit San Francisco! As much of a hassle as it is to travel in the rain (whether you drive a car or take the bus), I actually enjoy the rain. There's something I find soothing in hearing the rain hit the window while I sit on the couch with a warm mug of Chai. It's very relaxing.

Though, it's not always such a romantic scene - the winds can be vicious and no matter how big or strong your umbrella is, you're bound to get hit by rain. This just means dressing for the winter weather is sometimes a challenge. For some of us, it's a question of how to look stylish while keeping dry or staying warm. I prefer to pile on layers, to wear a good winter coat, and to make sure to keep my trusty Hunter wellies on. I've had my wellies for several years and they have kept up with me through the seasons. This kind of dressing is not scientific by any means, but it works for me in SF.

How do you dress for the season?
