Finally Friday!

It's Finally Friday!  I find it rather amusing that as a child I used to get sad it was Friday--it meant no more school and not having something to do (yes, as a child I loved the schedule of going to school, too).  That sounds rather nerdy of me but alas--it is true!  Now, I am so over the moon when Friday arrives and the weekend starts.  

Usually on the weekends, I end up a little M.I.A. from people.  It's my time to unwind and recharge so I try to avoid the usual routine from the week.  The picture above makes me remember a time when people didn't always rely on having a cell phone and instant access all the time.  

For that reason, I'm looking forward to a weekend dedicated to recharging myself.

I can't wait to try out this Lemon Icebox Pie.  One of my favorite flavors is the tartness of a lemon.  While this specific recipe may be a bit sweet due to the condensed milk (I may cut back on the amount), the mix of sweet and tart sounds like a winning combination!  A definite mood pick-me-up.

I'm loving the idea of mixing colored prints (a la the fabulous DVF).  I have experimented with mixing different patterns of prints, but haven't tried mixing differed colored prints.  As I'm going to be conducting a "Spring cleaning" of my closet this weekend, I may discover new combinations of outfits as a result.

As you may have read (here), I'm a big fan of the first book by the wonderful ladies behind Who What Wear.  The release of their second book scores huge brownie points with me and I love adding this to my fashion book collection--a refresher on all the tricks we think we know on how to dress.  A must if I do say so myself.

There you have it...my proposed weekend in a nutshell.  What will you be doing?
