When I was a kid, my mom used to walk me around downtown SF and I distinctly remember looking at store windows feeling awe and excitement at the display. They were magnificently curated and effective. I wanted to go to the store and look at everything in closer detail!
When I came across this display for Hermès Maison (Shanghai) I was intrigued. The concept was inspired by the Museum of Natural History and the Cabinet of Curiosities. The beautifully designed windows takes you through nature with strong motifs of Air, Water and smaller windows about Earth. Each of the animals are hand-made with paper and leather (using leather offcuts from Hermès workshops in Paris). Looking at the intricate detail and precision of the animals, you can understand why this window display project took three months!
