Lightweight trench: H&M, Shirt: Phillip Lim x Target, Heels: Nanette Lepore, Accessories: Karen Walker sunglasses, Coach Willis (thrifted)
Everyday is a new challenge. My body changes quicker than my wardrobe can so I'm constantly looking for new things in my current closet. I've been avoiding buying many clothes in the maternity line. I just haven't been inspired by what I see. Or the things I am inspired by are priced in a range that I would rather put towards something else (especially since I won't wear these clothes for the long term). So what's a gal to do? Get creative and get used to the same ol' gear. Lucky for me, I still qualify in the "get away with it" category.
That is what I did and I totally recommend it. The maternity clothes ARE expensive and in the scheme of things you won't wear them for long. I recommend buying things that you can also use after pregnancy--I still wear some maternity clothes either because I am still in a period where I can't quite fit into all of my old clothes and/or because they are just staples like a grey tee!

Love the print of your top, looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGotta love Phillip Lim x Target! I love that top and it looks great on you with that trench! <3

I think that's a really smart idea. What's the point of investing in clothes you'll wear for a few months? I love this prabal gurung top, the print is so unique! And you can definitely get away with it :)

Well, at least your body is changing everyday because of the baby! I feel like I am changing constantly and I am DEF not pregnant. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful - love the pattern of your top!
ReplyDeleteAt least you're finding new ways to wear the clothes you already own. Hope pregnancy is treating you well :)

Yes, that is most certainly a challenge! Maybe you can just find some simple and inexpensive basics in the likes of Old Navy? However that top is working quite well regardless!

I probably won't buy many maternity clothes when I get preggers way in the future, but what's the point in buying clothes that you will only wear for a short time? This long cardigan is really cool!

Love the long trench with the great pattern shirt and your braid. You look so stylish! I agree on the maternity stuff. From what I have seen it doesn't seem very inspiring.

I want to see more of your top! The peek of colours look really interesting. And you wear the pregnancy really well...I honestly wouldn't have even known without reading.

So glad that you are still able to use your non maternity clothes. Buying maternity clothes is not fun, my friend bought some very affordable prices from Old Navy. Good luck finding some maternity clothes that you will like.

I think you look so cute! I've definitely seen some women rock their regular clothes in creative ways while pregnant and I think you're doing just that! That blouse has a super cool print and I'm loving the long jacket too. This is a great spring look!
