Thanks to everyone who shared their birthday wishes to the husband. It means a lot to a gal like me who is pretty quiet about the personal bits of life. I admire those of you who can be an open book with the world. It means you are unabashed about expressing yourselves. It has just taken me a bit longer to get to that point.
It's only fitting that the Curtis Kulig "Love Me" wall is behind me in these photos. To be frank, it has not always been easy to express myself. It's been an internal struggle in showcasing my "authentic self" since I analyze everything to death. Growing up, I focused on what others thought instead of focusing on myself. Finally, when I reached adulthood, I realized how important and how revolutionary the impact of being yourself can be. You free yourself of unnecessary pressure of people's opinions and can finally feel...well, you feel free. And that is amazing.
Pretty dress, love the color and the pleats!

Growing up I always worried about what other people would think of me. A few breakups and being an adult later... I've really stopped caring! Well, I still do care. But I don't let it run my life. PS- I adore that color green!

I agree on every word you say. I'm pretty much the same. Even being on social media I find hard to share everything. Should I? Maybe not and it wouldn't be possible. Who can share everything.
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! I love that gorgeous green dress. And backdrop is amazing.

I can definitely relate to this post. For the longest time growing up I thought that the most important thing in life was to meet everyone else's expectations. I don't really think I ever took the time to really figure out who I really was.
ReplyDeleteThat wall is so cool and I'm loving your outfit.
