Tattoos are a very personal statement. They are subjective in beauty. After all, they are permanent. But, they can be bold and artistic or small and intimate depending on the person. In this particular photo series titled, Tiny Tattoos, Seattle, Washington-based photographer, Austin Tott, captures people's small ink against a related backdrop (e.g. quotes in the midst of books, a bicycle in front of an urban environment or an umbrella among rain clouds). With such simple tattoos, Austin Tott captures a beautiful story in one photograph. Though the hand-drawn tattoo is tiny, the grand scale of the arm and backdrop creates a unique perspective.
Personally, I have an affinity for tattoos. While I don't have one (yet) I find them alluring in nature and love to learn why people get the styles they do.
