In my recent spring cleaning/organization extravaganza, I came across a batch of beautiful but old craft papers that I used for card making (as well as ones used for my wedding programs and invitations). I had stuffed the papers into a plastic storage container since I didn't have space to organize it any other way. It became an "out of sight, out of mind" scenario since I completely forgot about them. It was pure coincidence that I found those and simultaneously stumbled upon the work Paris-based designer, Maud Vantours, who creates incredible 3D art out of paper.
Maud Vantours layers paper on paper to create her designs - ranging from graphic patterns to intricate flowers. Her art is full of texture and color that you can't avoid staring at them to understand the complexity that goes into her work. It's like origami gone wild, right?
These paper designs are all beautiful. The light fixture on the right--I want like 10 of those!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are great! I never would have thought that these were made of paper. Actually, these also make me think how much time this artist must have to create such intricate creations.
ReplyDeletehow gorgeous! i love the 3 dimensional designs of them.
