Wednesday Whim - Reflective Reflections

All images via Mariya-Luiza via 2photo via MMM

I love how Moscow-based photographer, Mariya-Luiza, has captured these inverted images of reflections in various glassware. Using the fundamentals of science for photography, she captures the environment in the water when the object's reflection bounces off the curve of the glassware. The resulting photographs are full of whimsy and a feeling of magic. The images make me think of fairy tales when people see alternate worlds or places through a whirl pool.  It's the greatest combination of science and art.

  1. Those are gorgeous! Photography is my hobby (don't judge my work by the photos on my blog). I do mostly nature and landscape. I'm going to have to give this method a try for fun.

  2. That's just so amazing!
