Thermal shirt: Gap, Leather jacket: H&M Icons Collection, Camo pants: Zara (old but similar), Boots: Asos (old), Accessories: Asos embellished beanie, Lionette necklace, My Name Necklace (c/o, use code ADORE for 10% off!), Catbird NYC rings, Lulu Frost code ring, 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target bag
As a kid, I had a name necklace that I was OBSESSED with. I wore it a lot. But, one time I was at the grocery store with my mom and the checkout lady said my name. I stared back at her in awe and shock at the fact that she KNEW MY NAME (forgetting that I was wearing the necklace). Shortly afterwards, my mom wanted me to stop wearing the necklace since she was scared of me interacting with strangers (oh, mothers...so protective).
I missed wearing my necklace but, I obeyed my mom's request. Then, name plate necklaces got super chic and less nerdy with Sex and the City's Carrie necklace. Although the necklace has become quite trendy I still love the idea of wearing something personalized. We're so interactive with people nowadays that knowing someone's name isn't so "scary" as it seemed to my mom back in the day.
I adore this sterling silver name necklace that I received recently from My Name Necklace. The display of my name isn't obnoxious or ostentatious and fits quite nicely as a layering piece. I chose the necklace to be on a 16" chain, which will work great with my v-neck t-shirts. Perfect actually. While I'm normally a "gold errything" kind of gal, silver is a nice change for me and I'm even into mixing metals!
So for you my dear readers, My Name Necklace is offering a 10% discount on your order (suh-weet)!. Use the code: ADORE when you order!
Cool outfit!
ReplyDeleteI was always enamored with those necklaces, but could never find a "Robin" one. Sigh. But now that you can essentially order any name ever, I don't know what's stopped me now! I love yours--so pretty!
ReplyDeleteNancy I love that name necklace! You're right it's a great size, and can be worn alone or layered...I'm going to have to look into one for myself! I also love that leather jacket.

Always Maylee
Cute! I've always loved things with names on it, partially because my name is always difficult to find. I was always so happy when it had my name on it that I had to get it.
ReplyDeleteThat necklace is gorgeous on you Nancy! And this is such a cute look...love the leather jacket!
