Neons in SF Summer

Sweater: H&M, Skirt: H&M, Sneakers: Bensimon, Accessories: Asos neon beanie, Karen Walker sunglasses, DIY necklace, Marc x Marc Jacobs watch, Alexis Bittar bracelets, Foley & Corinna bag

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. They go by so fast don't they?

Most of my weekend was low key and spent with my husband. We also reunited with an old friend we have not seen in a long time. I really love that moment you meet up with someone you have not seen in a while and you pick up right where you left off. That kind of relationship is pretty special.

The husband and I also ran a lot of errands and as you can see from my Instagram post, SF was pretty gloomy and gray.
I adore the beauty of the City but unless you're living in certain neighborhoods, you just get used to the gray-ness. So, I'm always seeking ways to brighten things up and what better way than with two bold neon colors in one outfit? With such bold pieces, I kept everything else neutral so I wouldn't look TOO crazy.

How was your weekend?

Yes, I know the grey now! Every morning it is grey here and then the sun will come out. I remember a few summers ago, I was in SF shopping with my mom and when we crossed the Bay Bridge it was beautiful and sunny. Then we were shopping on Haight St and we look up, and here comes Karl. LOL. It was like clockwork!

I think wearing neon on those grey days is a great idea! I'll have to remember that little tip when winter hits here! :)

Bright fashion is the only way to survive the gloomy parts of our beautiful city. What a fun skirt!

  17. Oh my gosh Nancy, I saved all of these photos for future inspiration. You already know (or maybe you don't haha) my love affair with pleated skirts, and this has got to be one of the most beautiful ones I've seen. LOVE that you paired it with a neon beanie, such great color blocking. You look so adorable, if I saw you on the street, I would follow you everywhere.

Do you have a fb page where I can follow you?
