As my regular readers know, I'm a creature of habit (mentioned here and recently here). But, I decided to venture out for a local blogger event at the Great Mall (Milpitas, CA) held inside the Last Call by Neiman Marcus store. (LOVE-ly shout-out to my husband who drove with me from SF and waited for me!) We were greeted with a delicious breakfast, a couple of models wearing some great designer deals from Last Call and some pit-stops to other stores to see what they had (J.Crew - where I picked/styled an outfit for a child's form stand; see below, DKNY, Coach, Joe's Jeans).
I got to meet some new, sweet people, which was a great thing for me since I adore seeing what other bloggers are doing.
I kept my own look really simple and casual for the event as I was planning to do some shopping afterwards (of course, my motivation was spurred by the fact that I knew I would get some great discounts). I hadn't been to the Great Mall since I was a kid and it has changed so much! If you're ever in the neighborhood, it's worth a trip! There's a lot of great stores there (outlets mixed with regular shops) and you can nab some sweet deals.
Just be warned...it's a LARGE mall so wear some comfy shoes! As soon as I was done with the event, I immediately switched from my heels into my loafers.
Thanks to Penny Barre from The Simon Company, Great Mall and Lisa Barnes from Last Call by Neiman Marcus. Bloggers attending received a cool swag bag for attending but, all thoughts, considerations, ideas and/or reviews above are my own.
