Wednesday Whim - They Look Like Humans

Happy Halloween to all! This time last year, I posted photos of these adorable children. While I'm not much of a costume gal myself (I leave that up to the ones who are good at it!), I thought it would be fun to post these photographs of animals who appear like...humans.

The work of photographer, Tim Flach, showcases animals as we've never seen them before. The animals are not outdoors and they look like they're on a photo shoot more than anything else. It's painstaking work photographing the animals this way. As Flach states, "you can never predict an animal's mood" and it requires a lot of partnership between the animal, the animal's handler and the photographer (more about this can be found under Flach's biography). But, the result is undoubtedly beautiful. There are no costumes, trickery or treats but, these human-like portraits are incredible.
