I'm digging this week's Wednesday Whim for it's creative take on the flash cards we used to have when we were kids. Created by South Africa-based designer, Emma Cook, and called a "silly little side project" by Emma herself, these flash cards invoke a hipster-cool factor into parenting. Using modern technology and references, kids won't forget the age in which they live in. My personal faves are the letters "D," "M" and "R." Emma used Adobe Illustrator to create these whimsical flash cards.
What do you think? Do you love or hate this? Does it make you think of how much times have changed since we were kids? Am I aging myself with this post?
I think these are really awesome! I never understood half the words they chose anyways. My nephews are young (4, 1) and they're both more into technology and this kind of world than they are into the basic world. So, yeah, this is PERFECT.
