Statement Necklace

Top: H&M, Vest: unknown brand via Crossroads, Skirt: American Apparel, Heels: Max Studio, Accessories: Zara necklace, H&M belt, Michael Kors watch, Belargo bracelet, Karen Walker sunglasses, Anthropologie, F21 and Banana Republic rings, 3.1 Phillip Lim bag

What makes this outfit stand out for me is the statement bib necklace. The bold neon green color against this look helps make this look pop out in an otherwise neutral-colored look. I'm not usually one to wear super short skirts, but since I paired this look with heels, I opted for longer layers to balance out the proportions. When you expose so much leg, it's good to keep other parts of your body (e.g. your upper half) a bit more covered if you're modest like me.

I'm so grateful to start the weekend since I'm officially taking off a week from work. Can you believe it? I'll keep up with the blog though since this blog never quite feels like work for me. =) But, it is a bit unnerving for me to take time off since I'm so used to a routine and so used to being "under pressure" for an upcoming deadline or requests from the boss.

On that note...Happy Friday! What are you all up to? Outside Lands? Or are you avoiding crowds?

  5. Totally agreed...the neutrals themselves would have made a great outfit with your super vest and stripes...but that neon necklace just takes it to a new level :)
