Dress as top: Amour Vert (last seen here), Skirt: Anthropologie (last seen here), Heels: Enzo Angiolini (similar style) via Crossroads, Accessories: H&M belt, J.Crew necklace, gifted watch, BCBG ring, Rebecca Minkoff MAC, Karen Walker sunglasses
As you can tell from my recent posts, I'm not done mixing stripes with other patterns (here, here and here). I find it so refreshing and fun that I'm always eager to find new ways to incorporate the mix into my outfits. The trick for me is incorporating colors into the look to keep things interesting. This skirt has so much pattern and color to it that the eye naturally gravitates towards it. Keeping my top (really a dress) in a neutral shade (despite being a print) and adding the infamous J.Crew bubble necklace to incorporate the dots in the skirt completed the overall outfit.
Can you believe it's already Friday? It seemed like I was just getting used to my week off and now I'll be back to the grind. It was fun while it lasted! The best part for me was....sleeping in and coffee in bed. Teehee. Happy weekend!
You look pretty darn cute. I can see how that skirt would be difficult to do a pattern mix with, but I think you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job on mixing prints and patterns! Your also making me want the bubble necklace in black!
