By now, many people have seen the Disney princesses turned into "real-life" renderings by art student, Jirka Väätäinen. He has created life-like portraits of the princesses we have come to know so well by combining features of real people into one composite using Photoshop (though he also clarifies the images are not based on only one person).
So many of us can remember the first time we saw these Disney princesses for the first time, whether it was in the theater or at home. I'm certainly one of those people. Every summer, I would anticipate the next princess to admire. Then, I used to sit at home on the weekends and be happy as a clam re-watching the Disney movies over and over. I loved the songs, the characters and the charm the stories brought into my life. I listened to The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin on repeat so much that I made people around me tired. The Disney princesses are incredibly iconic that the realism Jirka brings to these renderings makes them that much more relevant to the public. Read more about these images here!
