Happy International Women's Day! In the general sense, women have come so far in achieving goals comparable to those of men (financial stability, social standing, etc). It's only natural that we take a moment to celebrate women and all the achievements. Personally, I like it when designers stop to reflect on times like this. Doing so reminds all of us of where we have come from.

One of my favorite designers, Diane von Furstenberg, is celebrating today with a special line of goodies. Not only do you get to add to your designer collection at home, but proceeds benefit Vital Voices to reduce our carbon footprint and help empower other women achieve success as well. Fabulous, ain't it?

And of course the adorable Kate Spade company (now owned by Liz Claiborne) aims to help women through the Women for Women International organization. The company's partnership with this organization help women in war-torn countries to rebuild their lives. Women combine their training in knitting and creative direction from Kate Spade New York to create a line of products for us to proudly buy.
As a note, I'm not sponsored by any of the companies above but I thoroughly support their endeavor to help women. By combining fashion with a worthy cause we can feel good about what we buy (which does not always happen).
Oh, and if you still are not sure if men are "on board" with how fabulous we women are, take a second to look at this. Women really ARE fab-u-lous!
